Geriatric Specialist (N)

The Geriatrician serves as the attending physician for geriatric and other patients across clinical settings, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team including specialists, nurse practitioners, therapists, and nursing staff. The role involves performing examinations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for long-term, post-acute, inpatient, and outpatient populations. The role involves performing examinations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for long-term, post-acute, inpatient, and outpatient populations. Key Responsibilities Prescribe medications and treatment regimens, referring patients to specialists when needed Coordinate and direct patient care activities among team members to meet individual needs Document patient encounters promptly using electronic medical records Participate in quality improvement, health promotion, and educational activities Supervise and train medical students, residents, and fellows Maintain compliance with policies, safety standards, and productivity benchmarks Engage in medical staff meetings and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned Qualifications & Skills MD or DO with internal medicine or family practice residency; geriatric fellowship preferred Valid Massachusetts Medical License and ABIM certification; additional certification in geriatric medicine preferred Experience caring for seniors in long-term, community, or home settings Ability to work independently and in teams; strong supervisory skills Knowledge of current medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment principles Certifications in CPR, BLS, ACLS as required Type & Compensation On-site position with a salary range of $197,901.00 - $279,389.00. #J-18808-Ljbffr AccessHealth
