Fusion Medical Staffing – Stepdown RN (Travel) Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Stepdown RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Tucson, Arizona. Responsibilities Provide care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical‑surgical or general inpatient units. Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond. Administer medications and treatments, focusing on cardiac care. Prepare equipment and assist physicians during cardiac‑related procedures. Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients. Observe patients, record significant conditions and reactions, notify supervisor or physician regarding cardiac status and response to interventions. Respond to life‑saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols specific to cardiac emergencies. Document nursing history and physical assessment for assigned telemetry patients. Initiate patient education plans focused on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for telemetry patients. Qualifications 1 year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN. Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations. Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification. Excellent English communication skills. Physical Abilities Remain in stationary position, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Technical/Motor Skills Grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment. Mental Requirements Handle frequent contact with general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Work under close supervision occasionally, as well as independently.
