3rd Shift Maintenance TechnicianPay Rate: $27.00/hr. up to $31/hr.Category/Shift: Hourly Full-Time (10:30pm - 6:30am, Sunday through Thursday)Physical Location: Asheboro Sheet Feeder Plant3021 Taylor DriveAsheboro, NC 27203The Job You Will Perform:Mechanical· Visually inspects and listens to machine and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions· Dismantles equipment and remove parts for repair using hand tools, power tools chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoist· Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems· Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machines parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures· Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to engineering specifications· Locates damaged air and hydraulic pipes on machine, and measures, cuts, threads, and installs new pipe· Sets up and operates tools such as drill press, grinder, welding equipment, etc, to make or repair parts· Start machines and equipment to test operation of repairs completed· Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair and/or Preventive Maintenance(PM's)· Record maintenance and repair information· Trouble shoot and repair equipmentElectrical· Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test equipment and software, and applying knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units and systems.· Inspect components of industrial equipment for accurate assembly and installation and for defects such as loose connections and frayed wires.· Install repaired equipment in various settings, such as industrial or military establishments.· Examine work orders and converse with equipment operators to detect equipment problems and to ascertain whether mechanical or human errors contributed to the problems.· Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, and repairing equipment, to detect and prevent problems.· Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures.· Set up and test industrial equipment to ensure that it functions properly.· Repair and adjust equipment, machines, and defective components, replacing worn parts such as gaskets and seals in watertight electrical equipment.· Maintain equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, and tests.· Calibrate testing instruments and installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications.Additional· Perform all acts safely· Perform other duties as assigned· Overtime is required as needed.· Hand tools are required and a tool box for storage of personal tools.· Will be working at heights for some jobs.
