Radiation Therapist - PRNThe PRN Therapist will have the opportunity to work at both the IU Health Bloomington Cancer Radiation Center and the IU Health Bedford Cancer Radiation Center. The hours of operation are Monday–Friday, 8–4:30pm, with very limited weekend requirements.This role involves working in a collaborative clinical environment alongside another Therapist. Both locations feature TrueBeam equipment. Bedford also offers brachytherapy, while Bloomington includes CT equipment for treatment planning. This position provides a great opportunity to expand skills and gain experience across both sites.Responsible for applying ionizing radiation to patients for therapeutic purposes in accordance with the prescription and instruction of a radiation oncologist. Controls the exact amount of radiation to be administered locally, and reproduces treatment fields, insuring that exposure is made only to prescribed areas. Requires high levels of quality control, safety, treatment planning and administration, patient care, and patient scheduling. May be asked to mentor those with less experience and/or students during clinical rotations.We are an equal opportunity employer.
