This individual will serve as the preconstruction integration lead for large-scale thermal generation projects, focusing primarily on combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) and simple-cycle peaking facilities.Day-to-Day:Lead preconstruction planning activities for thermal generation projectsCoordinate project readiness efforts from development through execution handoffManage EPC, equipment supply, early works, and specialty package RFPsFacilitate bidder communication, RFIs, addenda, bid reviews, and contractor interviewsSupport contractor selection, recommendation-to-award packages, and governance approvalsDevelop procurement strategies for long-lead power generation equipmentCoordinate supplier engagement, manufacturing schedules, inspections, and delivery planningTrack procurement milestones and integrate them into project schedulesLead logistics planning for oversized and critical equipment shipmentsCoordinate route studies, transportation permitting, port and rail logistics, crane access, and site readinessEvaluate commercial proposals and prepare executive-level bid comparisons and recommendations
