Admin Support Specialist

The UNC Department of Family Medicine is seeking a Temporary Administrative Support Specialist to join our academic team. This on-site role is essential in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and providing a welcoming environment for students, faculty, and visitors. The primary responsibilities of this position are to serve as the first point of contact at the academic front desk: greet visitors, provide directions, and answer the main academic phone line. Assist with Federal Work-study student operations, building operations support, faculty support, program administration, and Department of Family Medicine support & conference center coordination. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a dynamic academic environment and support the mission of medical education at UNC.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Management Preferences: Previous administrative or customer service experience preferred.
