Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required. License: Valid nursing license required. Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications required. Must-Have: Strong skills in IV starts, telemetry, and conscious sedation. Experience with EPIC charting system preferred. Description: Provide high-quality care for patients in a lower acuity cardiac unit. Monitor and assess patient conditions. Administer medications and collaborate with the healthcare team. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures. Float to units of similar or lower acuity as needed. Patient ratio is 1:3-4. Primary patient diagnoses include general cardiology, arrhythmias, syncope, chest pain, congestive heart failure, endocarditis, lung transplant readmissions, CABG, and valve repair. The unit supports procedures such as pacemaker placement, arrhythmia ablation, cardioversions, and cardiac catheterizations. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Candidates must complete fingerprinting as part of the hiring process. Two professional references are required; at least one must be from a manager or supervisor.
