Position Description

• Work with concrete crew on/around concrete forms, assisting with concrete pour and placements (curb & gutter, sidewalk, driveways, floors, walls, slabs, elevated slabs, and other misc. sitework)
• Work with buckets and pump truck to place concrete.
• Finish concrete to meet horizontal tolerances and finish specs from hard trowel to heavy broom.
• Use bull float, broom and trowel machines to finish surface.
• Proficient in using straight edge, float, bump cutter, and/or power screed, and other tools as necessary.
• Ability to run a vibrator and/or work concrete pump hose.
• Operate walking trowel and understand safety and maintenance procedures
• Operate double riding trowel and understand safety and maintenance procedures.
• Safely coordinate work among other trades.
• Saw cut concrete joints.
• Should be able to navigate through the work-site on a daily basis

Position Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written with co-workers, and supervisors.
• Ability to use screeds and trowel float to smooth concrete
• Adhere to strict safety standards and procedures
• Must have knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction
• Experience with patching that meets ACI standards for horizontal and vertical applications

Education and Experience:

• On-the-job training offered.
• Construction: 1 year (Preferred)

Physical Requirements:

• Able to work long periods including evenings and weekends when necessary.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time., carry at least 30 pounds
• Be able to work in extreme weather conditions, hot and cold weather.
