CAD Designer

CAD DesignerCAD Designers will work with experienced engineers and will be put in a position to continuously develop skills and collaborate with other experienced RoviSys CAD Designers. Individual responsibilities will be designated by the project manager and lead resource based on the specific requirements of each project and the individual's capabilities.ResponsibilitiesInvestigate customer specifications, standard operating procedures, and documentation relating to control panels and electrical designRead and understand P&ID drawings.Design Control Cabinet layouts including PLC hardware, Power Supplies, Terminal Strips, and all electrical equipment associated with project with good wiring and layout practices in mind.Create and/or edit panel layouts, sub-panel layouts, bills of materials, and electrical schematics for control enclosuresCreate and/or edit instrument schematics, one line diagrams, conduit and cable schedules for electrical installationsPerform self-check of all work for accuracyPeer review other's work for accuracyProvide technical support for panel fabrication techniciansInspect completed control enclosures against documented test procedureCreate and/or edit documented test proceduresTeach other technicians to help improve efficiency and efficacyLearn and adapt to new technologiesParticipate in design review meetingsUnderstand wiring codes such as NEC, IEC, and NFPAWork with Engineering team on electrical initiatives needed for the project Field Verification of DrawingsTroubleshoot installation discrepanciesSupport field verification of drawings, commissioning and qualification activities at customer sitesQualificationsGeneral knowledge of electrical circuitry, NFPA, NEC, and/or IEC codesGeneral CAD experience in AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, etc.Ability to recognize and offer suggestions for continued improvement within the CAD Team for efficiency and accuracyAssociate Degree or Technical certificationCompensation & Benefits HighlightsCompetitive Base Salary: $50k - $95k, depending on experiencePerformance Bonuses: Bonus structure designed to reward resultsTravel Perks: Travel incentives + per-diem packages for field assignmentsFull Benefits Package: Medical, dental, and vision coverageRetirement Ready: 401(k) with company matchTime Off: Generous PTO which includes vacation, holidays, and unlimited personal timeGrow With Us: Ongoing training, certifications, and professional development support
