Job Title: Director of Finance

Professional Summary

We are seeking an accomplished Director of Finance to provide financial leadership and strategic guidance across the organization. This individual will oversee core accounting functions, financial planning, reporting, forecasting, cash management, and internal controls. The position will work closely with executive leadership to evaluate business performance, strengthen financial processes, identify risks, and support sustainable growth. The Director will also provide leadership to finance and technology-related functions and help build a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily accounting and finance activities.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for management and leadership.
• Review financial performance and identify trends, potential risks, and areas for improvement.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, expense monitoring, and cash flow management.
• Convert financial data into practical insights and recommendations for business decisions.
• Develop and maintain effective internal controls and financial procedures.
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, banks, insurance providers, and government organizations.
• Support financing initiatives, including loans, grants, and other funding opportunities.
• Manage, mentor, and develop employees across accounting, AP, AR, purchasing, payroll, and related functions.
• Provide oversight of IT operations in collaboration with internal technology resources.
• Prepare and communicate regular financial and IT updates to executive leadership.
• Promote operational efficiency, accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred .
• CPA certification is preferred but not required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• 5+ years of management or team leadership experience.
• Strong experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to use financial data to support strategic and operational decisions.
• Solid knowledge of internal controls, compliance, risk management, and financial processes.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and financial reporting applications .
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to lead teams, collaborate across departments, and work effectively with senior leadership.
• Strong judgment, integrity, accountability, and leadership capabilities.
