About Facility: Matthews, NC. 44 Licensed beds. Not Trauma Designated. Teaching Hospital? Only Community Schools of Nursing. Not a Chest Pain Center. Not a Stroke Center. Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit.

Unit Information: Beds: 8. Average Census: 8. Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years of LDRP exp (RN); 2 years of Surgical Tech experience specific to OB. Will you accept a first-time traveler? No.

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: LDRP. GYN surgical. Patient Ratios: RN: AWHONN Guidelines.

Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance: RN: BLS, ACLS, EFM, NRP. Surg Tech: BLS required, national certification (CST) is preferred but not required.

Skills required: RN: Experience with the all aspects of LDRP patient care, circulating c-sections, experience with newborn care to include heel sticks, 24 hr testing, NAS scoring, lactation support. Must have the skillset to work LDRP. Surg Tech: examples: Decontamination/Sterilization experience, sterile technique, comfortable providing assistance with vaginal and cesarean delivery.

Support within the Department: CNA - 1 per shift. Receptionist/HUC - patient registration, visitor mgmt. and unit secretary duties. Charge nurse. Case Manager. RT 24/7. Hospitalist or OB Physician, 24/7. OB Physicians - 2 OB practices. Pediatrician. Lactation Consultants. No remote Tele Monitoring.

Technology/Equipment: EMR: EPIC. IV Pump: Alaris. Med dispensing: Omnicell. Monitors: Phillips. GE Corometrics Fetal Monitors; GE Panda Warmer.

Floating: Within region and scope of practice. Will be required to float per region needs - will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice - DECLINE if not agreeable. Region 2 - Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, Central Division (CMC Main + CMC Mercy + Levine Children's Hospital). If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock).

Orientation (facility and unit): NEO. 2 days departmental.

Scheduling: Weekend rotation: every other. No call. Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays. RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays - must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours. Shift times: 7p-7a. Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.

Other notes: Scrub Color: navy blue scrubs or business casual to/from work; hospital issued scrubs while at work. Parking: Free.
