Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2000 per week.

Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• ADN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Kentucky license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live>40 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Deaconess Health.

Unit Details:General Med/Surg population includes gallbladder, colectomy, appendectomy, hip/knee replacements/ORIFs, COVID, GI bleeds, CHF, COPD, sepsis, UTI, and respiratory cases.Skills include PIV insertion, chest tube/indwelling drain management, CBI, drip management (heparin, cardizem), PEGs/NGs, ostomy care, remote telemetry, blood product administration, and dysphagia screening.Ratios: Days 1:4-5; NOCs 1:5-7; charge nurse takes a full assignment on nights and may take patients on days.Teaching hospital; may require precepting students and new hires.

Shift&Scheduling:Every third weekend. Every other holiday.Flexible contract hours: 36 per week; 48 per week may be available upon request.

Floating Requirements:First to float within skill set. May float to Deaconess Newburgh (IN) campus (8 miles apart) and potentially to Deaconess Midtown (IN - 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross-campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross-campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months
