Job Overview
MLM Transport is a rapidly growing freight brokerage known for delivering dependable, efficient, and scalable transportation solutions. We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Account Executive with a proven track record in freight sales, relationship management, and strategic account growth. This role is ideal for an experienced logistics professional who may possess an existing book of business or is ready to take the next step in their sales career by owning and expanding high-value customer accounts. As a Senior Account Executive, you will play a critical role in driving revenue, developing long-term partnerships, and influencing the overall growth of our brokerage.
Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid or an on-site Senior Account Executive position located at our Charleston, SC office. As a senior member of the revenue team, you will be responsible for building, managing, and scaling a profitable book-of-business, deepening client relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of MLM Transport’s supply chain solutions. You will operate with a high level of autonomy while also collaborating closely with leadership and operations.
Duties
- Lead proactive prospecting initiatives through strategic research, targeted outreach, and high-volume cold calling to acquire new high-value clients
- Assess and analyze complex transportation needs to provide tailored, cost-effective freight solutions
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing accounts, focusing on retention, expansion, and customer success
- Negotiate competitive pricing, multi-load opportunities, and long-term contracts to maximize profitability
- Collaborate with internal operations, leadership, and carrier partners to ensure seamless service delivery
- Consistently meet or exceed senior-level sales targets, activity expectations, and revenue goals
- Provide input on market trends, customer needs, and process improvements to support broader company growth
Qualifications
- Proven success as an Account Executive, Broker, or Senior Freight Sales professional within a brokerage or asset-based transportation environment
- Strong sales acumen with a history of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue and margin goals
- Ability to operate with urgency, resilience, and a proactive mindset in a fast-paced, competitive market
- Advanced negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Highly self-sufficient while also effective within a team-oriented culture
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and Google Workspace
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
