RN Emergency Room

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room (ER) provides skilled nursing care to patients in a Level 4 Trauma Center setting. This role involves managing acute and critical care cases in an 8-bed ER with a high patient volume, delivering timely assessments, interventions, and collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary team. The nurse must maintain certifications in TNCC, ACLS, PALS, and BLS to ensure quality emergency care. Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments and triage in a fast-paced ER environment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and according to protocols.
• Provide advanced life support and trauma care to critically ill or injured patients.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, emergency medical staff, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain up-to-date medical records.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and participate in resuscitation efforts.
• Maintain readiness of emergency equipment and supplies.

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in emergency nursing or trauma care preferred.
• Current certifications in Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Experience working in a Level 4 Trauma Center or similar emergency care facility.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and emergency department protocols.

• Work is performed in a high-acuity emergency room environment.
• Must be prepared to handle trauma and critical care cases.
• Compliance with all safety and infection control policies is mandatory.

• Night shift schedule in the Emergency Room.
• Shift assignments based on departmental needs with potential for variable hours.
