Job Responsibilities

• Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
• Take beverage orders from customers or waitstaff and serve drinks.
• Check identification to verify legal age requirements for all customers.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies as needed.
• Manage cash and credit card transactions accurately using a point-of-sale system.
• Provide excellent customer service and engage with patrons to enhance their experience.
• Monitor and manage bar patrons' behavior and alcohol consumption to ensure customer safety.
• Prepare garnishes and other drink ingredients in advance.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for beverage preparation and service.
• Collaborate with other staff and management to improve service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Participate in bar setup and closing duties, including cleaning glasses and utensils.
• Suggest and upsell additional drink options or promotions to customers.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
• Attend training sessions and meetings to stay updated on new drinks, techniques, and safety protocols.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of bartending experience in a high-volume setting
• Proficiency in mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks according to recipes
• Strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages, beer, wine, and cocktail recipes
• Ability to assess customer preferences and make drink recommendations
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills and a welcoming demeanor
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating bills
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
• Understanding of applicable liquor laws and regulations
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS or equivalent) preferred
