See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality:Position Overview:We are seeking a result-oriented Manufacturing Engineering Intern to increase productivity and reduce operations cost through the reengineering of the manufacturing process. This role is in Edgewater, FLAt Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.Essential Functions:Analyzing manufacturing processes using engineering tools and techniques.Conducting different industrial engineering studies and analysis such as manpower forecasts, capacity analysis, resource leveling, etc.Assisting in the implementation and utilization of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and methodologies.Studying and analyzing variation in critical manufacturing processes.Maintain documentation on related studies and analysis.Performing related assignments as required.3D-Modeling of plant layout to be used to assist in building layoutsThis internship will be a full-time commitment from May to August 2027Internship Projects to include:Fiberglass mold creation for Sea Ray, Boston Whaler, and Navan new productCreating specification prints that vendors will build new parts fromNew product design reviews and cad creation of future new models for these 3 brandsParticipating in the building, testing, and validation of new marine productsDiversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.Required Qualifications:Minimum of 2 years towards a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.Basic Lean Six Sigma knowledgeExperience utilizing engineering tools and methods in a manufacturing environmentWorking knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, MS Project.Strong communication, people skills and ability to work independently on assigned tasks within a quick-paced, fiberglass / resin environment.To be considered for the internship, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States immediately, without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future.Preferred Qualifications:Desired coursework completed in Statistics, Work Measurement and Design, and Quality Engineering.3-D modeling skills and simulation experienceBoating, fishing and/or marine industry knowledge desirableBoating, fishing and/or marine industry experience is beneficial but not required.Good interpersonal skillsWorking Conditions:Learning Opportunities: Our Student Program is designed to provide hands-on experience in a professional setting. This may range from supporting larger projects to handling smaller, individual assignments.Hours: Co-ops and Interns are expected to work a full 40-hour work weekFeedback and Performance Reviews: As a co-op or intern, you will receive feedback and performance reviews throughout your assignment. We value the importance for interns to understand their progress and areas for improvement.The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $26.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate offered will vary depending on multiple factors including year in school/credits earned, degree, job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role.
