Responsible for managing reservations, seating guests, and maintaining the lobby area, they play a vital role in orchestrating the flow of guests and optimizing their satisfaction. With their warm demeanor and excellent customer service skills, Hosts/Hostesses create a welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests returning. Furthermore, they have the opportunity to earn tips through their direct interaction with guests, enhancing their overall compensation. Responsibilities Welcome guests with a warm greeting and friendly demeanor. Manage reservations and communicate wait times effectively. Seat guests promptly and efficiently, considering table availability and server rotations. Keep the lobby area clean, organized, and inviting for guests. Handle phone calls and assist with inquiries and reservation requests. Assist servers and other staff members to ensure smooth operations. Monitor guest flow to maximize seating efficiency and minimize wait times. Provide attentive customer service, addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly. Maximize tip potential by delivering exceptional service and hospitality. Requirements Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role is beneficial. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in high‑pressure situations. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Team player mentality with the ability to work collaboratively. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Enthusiasm for providing outstanding service and creating positive guest experiences. Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and systems.
