This facility is a comprehensive medical center serving the Duluth region with a focus on providing exceptional patient care. The anesthesiology department consists of a team of 22 Anesthesiologists working collaboratively to deliver high-quality care in a supportive environment.

Opportunity: Anesthesiologist - Pediatric

This is a full-time position in the Anesthesiology department, reporting to the Division Chair of Anesthesiology. The role focuses on providing specialized anesthesia care for pediatric patients.

Job Details:

• Conduct thorough preoperative evaluations of pediatric patients, reviewing medical histories and discussing anesthesia plans with families
• Develop and implement anesthesia care plans tailored to each pediatric patient
• Administer general, regional, or local anesthesia safely and effectively
• Monitor vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels during procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other medical professionals
• Manage and treat any anesthesia-related complications
• Oversee recovery from anesthesia and provide pain management
• Respond promptly to anesthesia-related emergencies
• Participate in training and mentoring of medical students and residents
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
