- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients, order necessary tests, and develop tailored care strategies
- Diagnose and manage acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses in collaboration with physicians or independently (as credentialed)
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, wellness strategies, and disease management
- Prescribe medication and treatments aligned with your area of practice
- Engage in patient follow-up and oversee chronic care management
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide cohesive and holistic patient care
- Maintain accurate and thorough records in electronic medical systems (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Colorado
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
