Pay: $19.50–$24.00 per hour, depending on assignment, experience, and qualifications
Job Type: Part-Time / On-Call / Event-Based with Opportunity for Additional Hours

Position Overview

Secure Net Alliance is seeking dependable, professional, and highly flexible Rover / Event-Based Security Officers to join our growing operations team.

This is not a traditional fixed-post position.

Rover Officers are utilized throughout our operations to support special events, temporary assignments, call-off coverage, new account launches, emergency coverage, and other operational needs . Officers may work at different locations from week to week depending on client requirements.

This position is ideal for someone who wants additional security hours, enjoys working at different locations, and has the flexibility to accept assignments as they become available.

Strong-performing Rover Officers will also be considered for permanent assignments, lead positions, and other advancement opportunities as they become available.

Responsibilities

Rover / Event Security Officers may be assigned to:

• Special events and private functions
• Residential communities
• Commercial properties
• Retail locations
• Corporate facilities
• Schools and educational facilities
• Temporary security details
• New account launches
• Call-off and emergency coverage
• Access control and guest management
• Foot and vehicle patrol assignments

Specific duties will vary depending on the assignment but may include:

• Maintain a professional and visible security presence
• Conduct routine patrols of assigned areas
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas
• Verify residents, employees, vendors, visitors, or event guests as required
• Assist with crowd management and event security
• Observe and report suspicious or unusual activity
• Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies
• Contact supervisors, law enforcement, fire, or emergency medical services when necessary
• Complete accurate Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports
• Follow client-specific Post Orders and SNA policies
• Maintain professional communication with clients, guests, residents, employees, and members of the public

What Makes This Position Different

Rover Officers must be able to adapt.

You may work an event one weekend, provide coverage at a residential community the following week, and assist with the launch of a new account after that.

Because assignments can change, we are specifically looking for officers who are:

• Comfortable traveling to different job sites

• Dependable when accepting assignments
• Professional in different environments
• Able to learn and follow new Post Orders quickly
• Comfortable working independently
• Available for nights, weekends, holidays, and short-notice assignments when possible

You are not required to accept every available assignment; however, reliability after accepting an assignment is extremely important.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

• Possess a current California BSIS Guard Card
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Have reliable transportation
• Have a reliable smartphone
• Maintain professional grooming and appearance
• Communicate effectively in English
• Be capable of standing and/or walking for extended periods
• Be able to write clear and professional security reports
• Be punctual and dependable
• Be willing to travel between assignments throughout the greater Los Angeles area
• Be able to successfully complete SNA's hiring and onboarding requirements

Preferred Qualifications

Preference may be given to applicants with:

• Previous security experience
• Event security experience
• Residential or HOA security experience
• Access control experience
• Customer service or hospitality experience
• Open availability
• Weekend availability
• Graveyard availability
• Experience working multiple security environments
• Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification
• Leadership or supervisory experience

Scheduling

This is a variable-schedule position .

Assignments may include:

• Weekdays
• Weekends
• Day shifts
• Swing shifts
• Graveyard shifts
• Holidays
• Special events
• Short-term assignments
• Emergency or call-off coverage

Some assignments will be scheduled well in advance, while others may become available on shorter notice.

Applicants with greater availability will generally have access to more assignment opportunities.
