Pipefitters - Needed ImmediatelyPay - $32-34/hrShift - 1st shift (OT available)Location - Tuscaloosa, ALJob DescriptionAs a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic or pneumatic equipment. These systems may be used for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, or industrial production or processing.ResponsibilitiesStudy blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the type of pipe and tools required, and lay out the sequence of tasks.Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble, and install metal, plastic, and fiberglass pipes, valves, and fittings.Join pipe sections and related equipment, securing them in position.Use testing equipment to check systems for leaks.Drill and punch holes in metal for screws, bolts, and rivets.Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces, seams, and joints of assembled parts using hand and power tools.Cross-train and perform work in other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position.Essential SkillsProficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.Experience with pipe installation, threading, brazing, and fitting.Ability to use various hand tools and operate an industrial-powered fork truck.Additional Skills & QualificationsPipe Fitter/Steamfitter Journeyman by trade.Minimum of 1-3 years industrial experience preferred.Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting work orders.Work EnvironmentWork in a dynamic manufacturing environment, utilizing various technologies and equipment. Experience a professional setting that values skill and precision.Job Type & LocationThis is a contract position based out of Tuscaloosa, AL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $34.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
