Sales Lead

A Sales Lead will be responsible for applying advanced skills in procedures and techniques specific to area of specialization. May carry out supervisory responsibilities. Order assigned products to maximize sales. Possess and convey a culinary level of food expertise. Work under minimal supervision and from detailed verbal and written instructions. Apply accepted guidelines, rules and procedures to decisions. Continually monitor and immediately address problems. Make sound decisions on everyday issues and problems. Requires specific product knowledge depending on the Department. Key responsibilities and essential functions include: assisting in ordering, assisting in writing weekly department schedule, identifying and addressing high priority activities first, communicating clear expectations for assignments, delegating responsibility to appropriate partners, providing excellent customer service, maintaining operating effectiveness, ensuring that all federal, state, and company regulations and standards for product freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation are met, maintaining standards in shrink, safety, and inventory control, assisting in merchandising the department to maximize sales, and using suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales.

Qualifications and key requirements include: 5+ years of work experience, 5-8 years of previous retail/restaurant experience, knowledge of department product, food preparation, and equipment, extensive knowledge of specialty food products and food preparation, strong customer service skills, passion for food, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and ability to work in extreme temperatures. Materials handling equipment certification is required. Must be able to manage in excess of 25 lbs., up to 50 lbs.
