Job Description

Don Franklin Columbia Ford is currently on the hunt for an experience, qualified diesel technician. The Diesel Technician will specialize in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining light-duty diesel vehicles. This role requires working independently as well as collaborating within a small team of technicians to ensure efficient and accurate service. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diesel engine systems and a keen attention to detail to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.

Pay will be based on experience and will be discussed during the interview process.

Responsibilities

Perform engine diagnostics on light-duty diesel vehicles
Repair and maintain fuel systems to ensure optimal performance
Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize vehicle downtime
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems
Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and resolve mechanical problems

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of experience in diesel technology
Valid driver’s license
Proficient in diesel engine repair and electrical diagnostics
Skilled in using diagnostic tools and reading technical manuals
Strong problem-solving abilities
High attention to detail
