About This Role

Paraprofessional for the state funded Georgia Prek-4 program. Hours are 7:00am to 3:00pm Monday through Friday. We follow the Houston County School District calendar.

What You'll Do

Monday through Friday

7:00 am to 3:00pm

Must have experience working in the Ga. Prek-4 program

To assist the lead teacher with all duties. Small group, large group, lesson planning, activities, outside playground, serving lunches and snacks, field trips, parent communications, Class DOJO, cleaning of the classroom and bathroom and other duties that you will learn on the job.

Requirements

Must have one of the following credentials listed below:

Valid Paraprofessional Certificate (issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission)

Valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential (issued by the Council for Professional Recognition)

TCC (Technical Certificate of Credit) in Early Childhood Education

TCD (Technical College Diploma) in Early Childhood Education

AA, AS, AAS, AAT (associate degree)

Montessori Diploma (Montessori courses must be taken from an accredited affiliate of the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education [MACTE])

BA, BS (bachelor’s degree)

Georgia PSC Certified Teacher MA, MS (master’s degree)

Specialist Degree or PhD
