Facilities ManagerThe Facilities Manager assists with overall stage and performance related operations including promoting, planning, scheduling, budgeting, and purchasing under the supervision of the Director of Theatre Facilities. The position also assists with load-ins, hangs and system set-ups for the Old Dominion University Theatre, Goode Theatre, and Brock Commons.Minimum Qualifications:Basic knowledge of stage related activities such as stage management, carpentry, rigging, electrics, sound, properties, or theatrical design.Basic knowledge of creating and maintaining festival plots for both sound and light.Strong speaking, writing & communication skills with both internal and external constituents.Strong organizational skills.Some skill with Excel and Word required.Some skill with technical theatre software.Ability to build strong teams.Ability to supervise and direct stage crew activities.Ability to provide technical support in all areas of event production.Additional Considerations:Each agency within the Commonwealth of Virginia is dedicated to recruiting, supporting, and maintaining a competent and diverse work force.
