• Required Qualifications:
  • 24 months of current Emergency Department (ED) / Emergency Room (ER) / emergency medicine experience
  • Valid and active Iowa or compact/multistate license
  • Specific skills checklist for ER nursing
  • American Heart Association or ARC American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification (can be obtained during onboarding)
  • TNCC or trauma nursing core competency certification
  • Drip/Titrate experience: cardiac drips, insulin, heparin, and other critical care/emergency medicine drips required
  • Telemetry measure/read experience required
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Performance evaluation/reference from within 24 months
  • Driver's license document
• Additional Information:
  • Orientation scheduled for 07/27/2026, with an additional session on 08/03/2026.
  • Holiday work required: 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day), unless the unit is closed.
  • Call back pay at 1.5x with a minimum of 2 hours.
  • On-call pay: $9/hour.
  • Extra charges for holiday or night differential apply, including 1.15x multiplier for holidays and 1.5x multiplier for call back shifts.
