Elite Manufacturing and Professional Services is currently hiring Skilled Carpenters for a construction client in Kingsport, TN. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity for dependable, experienced carpenters looking to join a growing construction project with the potential for permanent placement.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour, based on experience

Location: Kingsport, TN 37660

Schedule:  Full-time, Monday-Friday with schedule details provided during the hiring process. Overtime may be available based on project needs.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform skilled carpentry and framing work on a construction site
• Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and measurements
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and other construction materials
• Construct, install, and repair walls, framing, structures, and other components
• Use hand and power tools safely and properly
• Inspect work to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with project specifications
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all company and job-site safety policies and procedures
• Work effectively with supervisors, contractors, and other members of the construction team
• Perform additional carpentry and construction duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Previous skilled carpentry/framing experience required
• Ability to accurately measure, cut, and assemble materials
• Knowledge of common carpentry tools and equipment
• Ability to read measurements and follow instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation to the job site
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be willing and able to follow all required safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry construction materials and equipment
• Ability to work in a construction-site environment
• Ability to safely operate or work around construction tools and equipment

Employment Information:
This position is being filled by Elite Manufacturing and Professional Services, a staffing and workforce solutions company. Employees will be hired as W-2 employees through Elite and assigned to work at our client’s construction site in Kingsport, TN. This is a temp-to-hire position, providing the opportunity for permanent employment with the client based on performance, attendance, and business needs.
