ICU Registered Nurse - 12 Hour Night Shifts

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts are scheduled for three 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Description

The ICU Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a critical care setting, managing patients with complex conditions including strokes, dialysis, head bleeds, and other neuro disorders. The role involves collaboration with an intensivist and a 24/7 APP coverage to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities

Administer medications and titrate IV drips, including Levophed, insulin, and paralytics.
Monitor patient vitals and assess critical conditions using equipment such as vents and BiPap.
Document patient care using the EPIC charting system.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Provide patient and family education regarding care plans and treatment options.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Current RN license.
ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
Previous ICU experience in a critical care setting strongly preferred.
