Minuteman Food Mart – Sales Associate (Part Time) – Whiteville, NC We are seeking dedicated, customer‑focused individuals to join our convenience store team. As a Sales Associate, you will provide friendly service, operate the cash register, shop stock, and maintain a clean, organized store environment. Assist customers in locating products and answering inquiries. Operate cash registers and POS systems accurately. Maintain clean and organized shelves, displays, and overall store environment. Stock shelves, coolers, and displays, ensuring proper rotation. Monitor inventory levels and report restocking needs. Handle cash, coupons, and discounts following company procedures. Maintain product knowledge, including new arrivals and promotions. Track expiration dates and remove defective items. Follow food safety and handling procedures for perishable items. Collaborate with team members for smooth operations, including opening and closing duties. Handle customer complaints professionally and escalated as needed. Adhere to company policies, including safety and security protocols. Assist with cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing. Qualifications People‑first mentality and “fast, friendly service with a smile.” Prior retail or customer service experience preferred but not required. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Basic math skills for handling transactions. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and multitask. Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Attention to detail and organizing skills. Knowledge of cash handling and POS operation is a plus. Team player who contributes to a positive workplace. Physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks. Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
