SGM is seeking a full-time Civil Engineer I for our Glenwood Springs, Colorado team. This position is primarily in-person and based at one of our office locations.  Regular in-office attendance is required and is not considered a remote role. Our ideal candidate will have a strong desire to live, work, and play in Western Colorado!

JOB DUTIES:

• Execute well-defined technical and engineering tasks.
• Contribute to development of deliverables.
• Perform field work and CAD drafting, sometimes in significant amounts.
• Conduct field activities, including full-time construction inspections and part-time inspections.
• Actively participate in team endeavors and SGM initiatives and committees as requested.
• Proactively communicate with supervisor on professional development desires & needs.
• Help secure repeat clients through project performance and professional persona.
• Help secure new business by recognizing and communicating with supervisor about business opportunities through clients, projects, etc. 
• Performs other related duties as assigned. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field
• EI Certification or ability to obtain in the first year of employment
• Organized, fast learner, and interested in the details
• Executes well-defined technical and engineering tasks
• Strong familiarity and working knowledge in the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design software with interest in expanding CAD knowledge base
