Position Summary Walmart Central Fill Pharmacy is a specialized type of pharmacy that focuses on processing and dispensing prescriptions for multiple retail pharmacy locations within a region. Unlike a traditional pharmacy, Central Fill is full of automation allowing prescriptions to be filled fast and accurately. While we are not patient‑facing, our work enables retail pharmacies to spend more time providing clinical services and education to the communities they serve. We are currently seeking a Specialist, Physical Security associate to join our team at our Frederick, MD facility. Schedule Flex position: Sundays 5:30 am – 5:30 pm; Thursdays and Fridays 3 pm – 11:30 pm. Various shifts, 36–40 hours per week. Subject to change with little notice as this is a new Central Fill and adjustments may be required to fulfill security operational needs. Compensation The hourly wage range is $23.00 – $44.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. What You'll Do Support development and implementation of security protocols, programs, and training to enhance safety and compliance with corporate standards. Respond to emergency situations by initiating incident command and providing tactical security responses to life‑safety events. Implement and monitor security systems, including alarm and intrusion detection, threat management, and crisis response strategies. Investigate reported threats, policy violations, and security breaches while assisting with mitigation efforts. Ensure regulatory and corporate policy compliance by identifying and addressing safety and security issues. Collaborate with internal and external partners to maintain a secure working environment and provide effective emergency response. What You'll Bring Proven experience in physical security operations, including emergency and incident response. Strong knowledge of crisis management and threat management protocols. Ability to implement and improve security systems, procedures, and training programs. Skilled in responding tactically to life‑safety events such as active shooter, fire, and severe weather incidents. Familiarity with regulatory compliance including OSHA, PCI, and fire codes. Effective collaboration with internal teams and external agencies to maintain a safe environment. Commitment to integrity, ethics, and adherence to company policies and standards. Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear, timely updates during emergencies. Minimum Qualifications Complete and pass all core components of the Physical Security Specialist Training Academy within 90 days of job entry, and maintain them while employed in this position. One year of experience in security, law enforcement, military, emergency services, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications Corporate Security, Emergency Operations, Law Enforcement background. Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Sociology, or related disciplines. CPR/BCLS certification.
