Director of Information Technology

The client is seeking an experienced Director of Information Technology (IT) to lead the execution and delivery of enterprise IT services and ensure the stability, performance, and reliability of the health system’s technology environment. This role oversees infrastructure, enterprise applications, and IT operations, including service management and desktop support, with responsibility for efficient service delivery and a high-performing IT environment that supports evolving healthcare needs. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Director of IT will execute IT initiatives, maintain system uptime, and optimize IT service delivery. The role plays a key part in major projects such as system implementations and the integration of emerging technologies, including AI, while applying innovative approaches to address complex healthcare challenges through cross-functional leadership and seamless day-to-day IT operations and communication. This director will lead approximately 11+ FTEs and focus on building and sustaining a high-performing, collaborative team through capability assessment, productivity improvements, and support for professional development. The role includes implementing and maintaining systems and programs such as Cisco, Rubrik, Help Desk, EPIC, UKG, and more. Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of three years of management experience in a related setting, with healthcare experience required; strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential, and experience managing large-scale IT projects is highly preferred.
