Job Title

Radiology Specialist

Duties

Support the Armed Forces Medical Examiner System, the Defense Health Agency, and the Department of War through:

Diagnostic radiology casework
Overseeing and interpreting radiological examinations conducted by the Forensic Pathology Investigations Division
Oversight and implementation of current Forensic Radiology processes and the development and implementation of new Forensic Radiology processes
Outstanding, authoritative, broad, and intensive knowledge of all modalities of radiology, with an emphasis on forensic radiology
Development and evolution of radiologic imaging service protocols, oversight/supervision of radiology technologists and service practices
Maintaining statistical records of workload, participating in Forensic Pathology Investigations meetings and committees
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams consisting of Medical Examiners, Medicolegal Death Investigators, mortuary affairs specialists, radiology technicians, and IT personnel
