Maintenance Specialist/Maintenance Trainee - Weekend Crew - Parks

This is a TEMPORARY - Part-Time Position - 1500 hour, PERS eligible Key Responsibilities Posting park reservations at various locations throughout the City of Escondido; Litter abatement; emptying trashcans and replacing trash liners; Delivering and restocking supplies from warehouse; Reporting and repairing minor defects in the parks; Cleaning, stocking and ensuring restroom quality; Minor landscaping, weed abatement and debris removal; Ideal Candidate Able to start work at 3am on Saturday, Sunday and holidays; Work cooperatively with others and contribute to a successful team effort; Operate tools designed for litter abatement, don personal protective equipment in a manner consistent with safety procedures; Deliver excellent customer service with a positive attitude; Read, write, and understand English to follow safety precautions and procedures; Minimum Requirements High School graduate or equivalent; Experience performing routine construction, landscape and/or maintenance work, including manual labor experience involving hand tools and portable power tools is desirable; Must possess a valid Class “C” California driver's license at the time of application; Ability to work weekends, holidays, and mandatory overtime when required; Salary : $19.70 - $26.41 per hour Final Filing Deadline : Open until filled NOTE: The City of Escondido is committed to a drug and alcohol free workplace.
