About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President of Finance to lead critical financial risk management, balance sheet strategy, and financial reporting functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for the ALM framework, including interest rate risk measurement, stress testing, and scenario analysis, as well as the CECL governance framework. This role requires a strategic business partner who can prepare and present financial, risk, and balance sheet insights to executive management and the Board. The AVP Finance will also be involved in strengthening risk management practices, driving process improvements, and developing a high-performing finance team to support the organization's long-term growth and profitability objectives. Candidates for the AVP Finance position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for advanced credentials such as an MBA, CPA, CFA, or FRM. A minimum of 10 years' of progressive experience in finance, treasury, ALM, FP&A, accounting, or risk management within a financial institution is required, with at least 3 years' of management experience. The role demands deep knowledge of asset/liability management, interest rate risk measurement, and balance sheet optimization, as well as experience in evaluating credit risk and managing fixed-income investment portfolios. Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills are essential, and experience with derivative programs, loan sales, securitizations, and wholesale funding strategies is a plus. The ideal candidate will be adept at using tools such as SQL, Power BI, Python, and Excel for financial analysis.
