Work Environment

The work setting is onsite at a state-of-the-art hospital equipped with modern medical technologies. As a Physician Assistant, you will collaborate closely with Family Medicine Physicians and fellow healthcare providers in a supportive team approach. Our work hours are Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a well-balanced professional and personal life. You will also have access to advanced Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to facilitate seamless communication and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centric outpatient care in partnership with Family Medicine Physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing physical examinations, to inform accurate diagnoses.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, using results to devise effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Manage the care of patients with both chronic and acute conditions, employing a preventive approach to healthcare and wellness.
• Provide educational support to patients and their families, guiding them through health management and wellness strategies to promote better outcomes.
• Engage actively with interdisciplinary teams, which includes specialists and behavioral health providers, to ensure holistic patient care.
• Utilize our modern EMR system for efficient patient documentation and communication with other team members.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be caring for a diverse range of patients, including families and individuals from various backgrounds. Our patient population presents a variety of health concerns, ranging from routine check-ups to management of chronic diseases. As part of a community-focused healthcare team, you will play a critical role in addressing healthcare disparities and promoting health equity among underserved populations.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a Bachelor's Degree.
• Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Active licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Florida.
• A demonstrated commitment to delivering patient-centered, culturally competent care.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong clinical decision-making abilities.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a primary care setting is preferred; however, motivated new graduates will also be considered.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience and performance.
