Family Engagement Specialist

Job Description Easterseals Vermont is the leading agency in the state in working hand‑in‑hand with the Department for Children and Families (DCF) to find family‑centered solutions that promote child welfare and create safety and well‑being. We are looking for a Family Engagement Specialist to join our team. Responsibilities As a Family Engagement Specialist, you will facilitate family meetings and provide in‑home support to strengthen families in their homes. You will coach parents to have safe and nurturing time with their children who are placed in DCF custody and support them to meet the needs of their children in the moment. You will also call extended family members to explore familial support and create genograms. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field preferred Two years of human services experience preferred Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check are required Your own reliable vehicle with insurance that meets our coverage limits is required Hours Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday. Flexibility to support parents’ individual schedules is appreciated. We support a healthy work/life balance in this job. Compensation Starting $20 hourly. Additional compensation is based upon degree in a related field: $20.50 for an associate’s degree; $21.00 for a bachelor’s degree; $22.50 for a master’s degree.
