Component Design Engineer (New York City Metropolitan Area)

Envision Recruitment are supporting a NYC-based startup reshoring the manufacture of electronic components.

They've recently added x2 Electronics Engineers and need a third.

You'd have lots of end-to-end ownership over schematic capture > designing PCB boards > testing > bringing up your own boards.

Working as part of a small team at this pre-seed startup, you work closely with the Founders as well as Firmware Engineers, and MLEs and manufacturers.

Components range from Controllers, Camera Modules, LiDAR modules and many more.

You should have:

• 3+ years hands-on component design
• Led the design of high-speed, multilayer boards (ideally 12+)
• Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and general lab equipment
• Simulation experience (HFSS/SIwave or similar) or at least an interest in simulation

Most importantly you should have a real passion for bringing high-quality manufacturing back to the US!

The salary of $130k - $150k is based on their current pre-seed funding; this is expected to increase significantly once further funding is secured.

For now, joining at an early stage means you'll get a significant equity stake in the business and a chance to shape the direction of the company.
