Zuma Vail LLC dba Zuma Vail is looking to fill Pastry Cook positions in Vail, Colorado. This is a temporary full-time peakload position & we are looking to fill 1 job opening for employment from 11/15/2026 to 04/18/2027. ** ** Duties: Assist in the preparation and production of a diverse range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods, following recipes and guidelines established by the Head Pastry Chef. Execute precise measurements and techniques to ensure consistency and quality in all pastry creations. Prepare and assemble components for plated desserts, including sauces, creams, garnishes, and accompaniments. Bake, decorate, and finish pastries and desserts with attention to detail and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas. Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols, including proper handling and storage of ingredients. Ensure all products and prepared items are properly labeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated following FIFO (first in, first out). Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations during service. Follow opening and closing procedures as instructed by kitchen management. One (1) year of experience mixing, baking, piping, and decorating. Must have knowledge of pastry ingredients and flavor combinations. ** ** Terms & Conditions of Employment: At least $20.89/per hour to $23.00/per hour, at least 35hrs/wk, Sat-Fri, 9:00AM to 12:00AM (schedule, hours and shifts vary). Overtime is available as needed. Overtime rate of pay is at least $31.34/per hour to $34.50/per hour. ** ** Transportation: From the place from which the worker has come to work, whether in the U.S. or abroad, to the place of employment, if the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse for transportation and subsistence (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed early, employer will reimburse or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. ** ** Tools, equipment & supplies: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, & equipment required to perform the job. ** ** Miscellaneous: The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due; The pay period is every two weeks; The employer will make all payroll deductions required by law; The employer will reimburse an H-2B worker in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees including those mandated by the government incurred by the H-2B worker.
