Control Engineer

Our client, a leader in the food processing industry, is seeking a Control Engineer to join their team. As a Control Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the Operations team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, excellent teamwork, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Columbia, Tennessee

What's the Job?

• Design, validate, commission, and troubleshoot electrical and control systems for automated food processing lines and equipment.
• Develop electrical schematics, control panel layouts, IO lists, and P&ID diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Program PLCs using Rockwell CompactLogix and develop HMI interfaces with PanelView.
• Verify and validate safety circuits and program safety PLCs to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance, safety, and efficiency.

What's Needed?

• At least 3 years of experience in product development within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, methodologies, and processes.
• Proficiency in electrical schematics, Ladder logic programming, and AutoCAD Electrical.
• Experience with automated machinery design, manufacturing, and control systems.
• Excellent technical writing, documentation skills, and ability to analyze complex data.
