Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations for adult patients in the MRI unit, following established protocols (body, neuro, breast, cardiac, vascular/MRA/MRV, MSK, and pediatric MR as listed) and ensuring high-quality, diagnostic images; manage contrast administration and IV access as needed.
- Verify orders, confirm patient identity and safety, properly position patients, select imaging sequences, and ensure image quality while adhering to ALARA principles.
- Document study results in the Epic charting system; communicate findings with interpreting services and the radiology team; coordinate with interdisciplinary teams including IV, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary as required.
- Monitor patients during procedures, respond to adverse events, maintain equipment and room readiness, and support flow of assignments across the MRI unit.
- Participate in the on-call rotation (8 hours per pay period, every other Sunday) and adapt to the unit’s scheduling patterns (Mon–Fri primary shift, with additional Tue–Fri and Sat shifts as noted).

Requirements
- Active ARRT (MR) and ARMRIT certifications; BLS certification.
- Minimum 1 year MRI experience; travel experience not required.
- State or Compact MRI license in hand at time of submittal.
- Siemens MRI scanner experience; ability to perform a broad range of MRI studies (abdomen, pelvis, brain, breast, cardiac MRI with/without contrast, vascular/MRA & MRV, MSK, pediatric MR) and manage contrast studies.
- Epic charting experience preferred or willingness to learn; ability to work in a hospital MRI environment with adult patient population; excellent patient safety and teamwork skills.
