About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to serve as the senior physician executive, responsible for the leadership, performance, quality, and delivery of medical services. The CMO will work closely with the executive team to advance the mission of the organization, providing strategic and hands-on clinical leadership to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care, provider performance, patient access, and clinical efficiency. This role involves leading and developing the medical provider team, establishing accountability for clinical and productivity expectations, and partnering with operational leadership to address barriers to effective care delivery. The CMO will also be involved in the development and standardization of clinical policies, protocols, and standards of care, and will champion integration and coordination among medical, behavioral health, pharmacy, and dental services. Candidates for the CMO position at the company should have an MD or DO from an accredited institution, with at least 5 years of clinical practice experience and a minimum of 3 years in a physician leadership or medical management role. Strong knowledge of evidence-based medicine, clinical practice standards, and healthcare regulations is essential. The ideal candidate will have experience in an FQHC or community health setting, with a preference for those with OB experience. The CMO must possess stellar communication and collaboration skills, the ability to lead provider teams, and a strong background in team-based, integrated care, and population health strategies. Responsibilities also include provider recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
