About the Role:

Eastern Janitorial Company is seeking a proactive, highly personable, and results-driven Assistant Operations Manager to join our growing Security & Field Operations team. In this role, you will work directly alongside our Operations Manager to oversee daily site execution, manage field personnel, and ensure high-quality service delivery across premier commercial and security accounts.

This position is specifically structured as a career path toward an Area Manager role . Through structured hands-on mentorship, daily side-by-side field training, and operational exposure, you will learn to master account management, team dynamics, client relations, and operational leadership.

Qualifications:

• Mindset & Fit: Highly trainable, personable, approachable, and team-focused with a strong sense of ownership and big-picture operational vision..
• Driver’s License & Mobility: Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (MVR) required for field site visits.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English; ability to command respect, de-escalate conflicts, and represent the company professionally before clients.
• Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using smartphones, email, workforce management apps, and basic spreadsheets (MS Excel / Google Sheets).
• Professional Presentation: Polished, clean, and commanding professional appearance suitable for interacting with executive client stakeholders.
• Adaptability & Availability: Flexibility to respond to field operational needs, emergency coverage, and site inspections as required by the operation.

Responsibilities:

• Operations Management Support: Serve as the primary right-hand operational support to the Operations Manager in managing daily field operations, staff coverage, and service execution.
• Field Supervision & Inspections: Conduct regular and unannounced site visits across assigned accounts to verify guard performance, post compliance, uniform standards, and site safety.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Foster a team-oriented environment among field personnel, assist with on-site onboarding, enforce company standards, and lead by example.
• Client & Account Relations: Build strong, professional relationships with site managers and client contacts; address client inquiries and operational concerns with tact, urgency, and professionalism.
• Schedule & Coverage Coordination: Assist in managing shift schedules, addressing open posts or attendance gaps, and resolving real-time field emergencies efficiently.
• Incident Management & Reporting: Respond promptly to field issues, document site incidents, complete daily operational logs, and keep leadership informed with clear, structured updates.
• Big-Picture Operational Growth: Actively engage in ongoing leadership training to learn account profitability, workforce management, and full-scale account administration.

The Assistant Operations Manager utilizes strong organizational and analytical skills daily to monitor and improve operational workflows.
