About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Academic Affairs to serve as its Chief Academic Officer, providing visionary leadership to advance innovative, high-quality educational programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all credit-bearing programs and services, with a focus on integrating innovative practices that enhance access, engagement, and student success. This role requires a proven track record in academic leadership, fostering innovation, and advancing student success, as well as a national awareness of emerging trends and best practices in community college education. The Vice President will be expected to lead long-range curriculum planning, expand apprenticeship programs, and build partnerships with K-12 systems, four-year institutions, and other education and training providers. Applicants for the Vice President for Academic Affairs position at the company should have a doctorate from an accredited institution and a strong background in higher education administration. The role demands a leader with a commitment to the comprehensive mission of community colleges, shared governance, and academic freedom. The ideal candidate will have experience in a multi-campus community college setting, a demonstrated ability to conduct long-range planning, and a proven commitment to fostering a culture of care that values diversity and inclusion. Key qualifications include a leadership style that is open, collaborative, and visionary, as well as a strong understanding of resource planning and allocation in a large, complex organization. The Vice President will also be responsible for fiscal management, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, and promoting the professional growth of faculty and staff.
