Job Description
Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

License: RRT Required

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CRT, NRP, PALS

Must-Have: EPIC experience preferred

Description:
The position involves working in a respiratory therapy unit.
The therapist will work on a 3x12-hour night shift schedule.
Weekend and holiday shifts may be required.
Candidates should have experience in adult critical care and aerosol setups.
Various respiratory conditions such as ARDS, pneumonia, and respiratory distress will be managed.
Skills in intubation, extubation, and managing high-frequency ventilators are essential.
Experience with a diverse patient population, including neonates, pediatrics, and geriatrics, is valued.
The staff will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.
Candidates should be prepared for possible variations in patient ratios.
Travel experience is required for this role.
Successful candidates will have certifications in both basic and advanced life support.
Knowledge of blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests is beneficial.
The therapist will adhere to protocols and best practices in all respiratory interventions.
Documentation in the charting system will be integral to this role.
Effective communication and teamwork skills are essential for success.
