Field Service Mechanic

This full-time position involves responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of package handling facilities, with a primary focus on conveyor systems. The role requires daily travel within a 2-hour radius of the base facility, with the possibility of occasional overnight stays. Compensation includes payment for travel time to and from the facility, and overtime is provided after 8 hours of work in a day. Typical working hours are from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, though they may vary depending on daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on conveyor systems and related package handling facilities.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to execute repair and installation tasks.
• Perform welding and fabrication tasks as necessary.
• Install and maintain motors and heavy equipment.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations.

Essential Skills

• Experience in maintenance and repair of conveyor systems.
• Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and industrial maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Capability to perform welding and fabrication.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with pneumatic controls and field service operations.
• Familiarity with installation and repair of heavy equipment and motors.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burnsville, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $42.50 - $59.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
