Amerex - Payroll Specialist/UKG Pro & Workforce Management
The UKG Pro (UltiPro) Payroll & Workforce Management Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of payroll, timekeeping, attendance, scheduling, and workforce management systems. This role ensures accurate payroll processing, system configuration, data integrity, compliance with company policies and labor regulations, and provides support to employees and managers regarding payroll and workforce management functions.
Responsibilities include administering and maintaining UKG Pro (UltiPro) Payroll and Workforce Management modules, processing payroll accurately and ensuring timely payroll completion, monitoring employee timecards, attendance records, leave balances, and scheduling data, troubleshooting payroll, timekeeping, scheduling, and timeclock system-related issues, assisting in the configuration of earnings, deductions, accruals, pay rules, and labor allocations, auditing payroll and workforce data for accuracy and compliance, generating payroll, labor, attendance, and management reports, supporting system upgrades, testing, and implementation of new functionality, training managers and employees on UKG Pro functions and self-service tools, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, partnering with HR, Benefits, Accounting, and Operations teams to resolve employee-related issues, assisting with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and audits, and managing security roles, workflows, and user access permissions.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience), 25 years of payroll and/or workforce management experience, hands-on experience with UKG Pro (UltiPro), UKG Workforce Management, Kronos, or similar HRIS systems, knowledge of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, and timekeeping practices, strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools, and excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred qualifications include experience with payroll tax processing and compliance, knowledge of workforce scheduling, labor management, and attendance tracking, and experience supporting system integrations and data interfaces.
