Job Summary:
Psychiatric Nurse (RN) Behavioral Health Fairfax, VA. This position involves providing comprehensive behavioral health services to adult patients in a specialized mental health unit. The role requires delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced outpatient setting, ensuring effective treatment and discharge planning.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Social Work (SW) or Counseling, valid Virginia license to practice therapy, BLS certification, CPI certification, recent experience working in behavioral health, and preferred adult behavioral health experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: CPI and CPR certifications are preferred but will be provided during onboarding.
• Additional Information: This facility staff includes registered nurses, mental health clinicians, and unit managers. The unit has a total of 10 beds, increasing to 20 after staff training. Experience in discharge planning and providing outpatient clinical services is essential. Candidates should demonstrate quick learning ability and familiarity with Meditech Expanse documentation systems.
