Purchasing Clerk Cedar City, UT Full-Time | 40 Hours Per Week Starting Pay: $15.00+ per Hour Benefits: Health Insurance & 401(k) Matching Position Summary Locak company is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Clerk to join our procurement team in Cedar City, Utah. This position plays a critical role in ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal departments. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, an effective communicator, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Process and oversee purchase orders for direct drop-shipments to customers. Enter tracking information, pricing, invoices, and order details accurately into company systems. Communicate with vendors to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly and delivered on time. Monitor and manage order status updates, responding to internal requests and inquiries through Microsoft Teams and other communication channels. Contact vendors to obtain shipment updates and record estimated delivery dates. Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to track shipments and resolve procurement or delivery issues. Process vendor returns and maintain accurate records of return transactions. Audit orders to ensure appropriate pricing and profit margins are maintained. Assist with vendor relationship management by evaluating supplier performance and fostering positive business partnerships. Perform additional projects and duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous purchasing, procurement, inventory, or administrative experience preferred. Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Acumatica, Odoo, or similar software is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word. Strong data entry and computer skills. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with vendors and team members. Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and follow up on pending tasks. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with office phone systems and general office procedures is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer. Frequently use standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, and printers. Occasionally lift and move office materials up to 25 pounds. Why Join our team?
