Job Description About the Job MedStar Medical Group II, LLC d/b/a MedStar Medical Group has an opening for the full-time position of Internal Medicine Physician based at MedStar Health Primary Care at Bauernschmidt, MD. Job Duties: Provide primary and preventive care to adult patients at clinic. Perform physical examinations, recommend tests and procedures, make diagnoses, make specialist referrals, and recommend lifestyle and habit changes to reduce risk of illness or disease. Provide treatment and care to patients with chronic disease or injury. Make recommendations for hospital admission and possible treatment. Prepare written prescription orders, medications and controlled substances under Maryland and federal rules, regulations and law. Contribute to the achievement of departmental goals and adhere to policies, procedures, quality and safety standards. Position requires 24/7 availability to address any acute medical issues in the hospital. Requirements: Position requires a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree or foreign equivalent. Position requires completion of 36 months of ABIM-recognized and ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency Training Program. Position requires a valid Maryland medical license and certification (or eligibility) by American Board of Internal Medicine.
